Santa on the Bay
A lifelong love of Christmas and working with children, becoming Santa was a natural fit for real-bearded Bob McGraw. In 2016, Bob made his dream of spreading the Christmas Spirit official by attending the Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School in Midland, Michigan (the oldest Santa Claus School in the world). Legends and lore of Santa, beard care, costume tips, reindeer care, singing, performance tips, conducting interviews, and of course- all the latest in toy trends were covered. Upon graduation and earning his red suspenders, Bob also joined Nationwide Santas which provides background checks and affiliation with only the most creditable Santas.
Prior to becoming Santa, Bob retired from teaching high school mathematics in Georgia after a career of nearly 30 years. He holds Bachelor’s Degrees from Armstrong Atlantic State University (mathematics) and the Georgia Institute of Technology (mechanical engineering) as well as a Master’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics from Columbus State University and a PhD in the same from Georgia State University. He is also a voice artist and has been the voice for numerous TV and radio ads, video games, corporate training videos, and has also produced several educational videos.
